And actually my Hebe is faster than a Mirror dinghy - a boat of comparable size - can be rigged and unrigged in a quarter of the time, and is comfortable, easy to sail, far more stable, and keeps my feet dry.
I just don't know why we gave up the "proper little ship" concept. A true highly bred racing dinghy is another matter (and they have huge merits too), but for simply sailing and informal racing the old style boat beats modern types hollow.
