(Transfered from thread re-'What a lucky man A. N. Wilson is to discover these books for the first time'.
I have been enjoying the adventures Arthur Ransome's various crews of children for a long time now (I am in my late sixties!) and still enjoy the freshness of all the stories.
I do hope A, N. Wilson finds time to read Coot Club and The Big Six, to further his new discovery! My teeth still grind at George Owdon... Incidentally, although there seems to be a lot of information about the Lake District families, does anyone know about the families that must have inspired the Broads stories?
Richard
