I believe Robert's complaint was echoing one I had made some time ago: not that the comment was irrelevant to this board, but that the title heading had nothing to do with the message.
I tend to avoid threads that I think will not interest me (principally the minutiae of boats and their equipment) and it can be irritating to find that a topic headed (for example) "Sisterhooks" has branched off into a discussion of Dick's knowledge of chemistry, without anyone bothering to change the Subject heading.
So this is a further plea to posters: if you are changing the direction of the thread, please change the subject. (See example above).
