By an amazing co-incidence, Country Diary in today's Guardian - sorry, theguardian - covered the walk alomgside Ullswater that Northern Region TARS are doing this Saturday (10.45 steamer from Glenridding).
Also, the Guardian book of A.Harry Griffin's Country Diaries is being launched at the top of Helvellyn this Thursday at 12.30 - anyone else thinking of climbing 3,000 feet to a book launch? Wonder if they're taking copies up to sell??
