I suggest that people who play everything for laughs (and I've met them) are also 'a tad tedious', and they are usually 'losers'.
Prue - This statement was not meant to apply to you. It related, as the wording clearly says, to people I have met. I was thinking of people I have met at work who made jokes all the time - they are the ones who never got anywhere. There was a comedy series called 'The Office' on UK TV which used this theme to great success. Thinking of the past on Tarboard, I think you are a bit trigger-happy with your accusations of rudeness.
