John - a 9 ft. tidal range at springs would do quite nicely for scrubbing Sea Bear. In fact, it's probably more than enough. By the look, the locals have made provissions for an 18 ft. range at high springs. And by the location, it's seeing the same effect that the Bay of Fundy does. So Florida will be around a few more years, barring melting icecaps.
