I was in the Portsmouth Historic dockyard a week or so ago. A shop called "Nauticalia" were offering the twelve books in an "unadulterated form", said to be virtual facsimile copies of the originals with nothing altered, including the dust jackets. The prices were the usual of £12.95 if I remember corresctly.
Incidentally, the dockyard is a feast for anybody interested in ships and the sea. HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, the "Mry Rose", and numerous museums. At the moment there is a special exhibition for the Trafalgar bicentenary of the only sail surviving worn by Victory at the battle, complete with cannon ball holes etc. It is the fore topsail, and is huge. Don`t know how big the main course would have been, but a lot bigger than this.
We spent a very full three days here, and all the exhibitions were stunning. Very good value, "£12.50 for seniors (I think £14.50 otherwise, entitling you to 8 attractions, including a sail round Portsmouth Harbour, which alone would cost £5.00. Go if you possibly can.
