For stuff that's not obviously suited to lists:

If you use the HTML FONT tag with Face="serif" and size="3" 
          then the "end font" tag
 wrapped around your preformatted text, it'll turn up in essentially the same font as the rest of the message. You can (as in this example)
 embed other tags within the preformatted text as well

Or so experimentation shows (with Mozilla, at least). And so, on to tables (I think Ian would take a belaying pin to anyone trying to use frames, and rightly so) for our next lesson.
