Today (Wednesday)'s Lakeland Cam has a picture of High Yewdale, looking very like Tyson's, on the eve of the retirement of the current tenant, after which the National Trust will combine it with other farms. There was also an item about it on today's BBC tv lunchtime news. A Trust spokesman responded to the suggestion that Beatrix Potter (who once owned it) would have disapproved, by pointing out that she herself combined farms.
