Just another thought, the picture of Rattletrap has always been compared to the smaller bodied Trojan Utility car, when really it most resembles the larger three door Trojan made from 1926 onwards, these have the doors as per the picture, the drop down box below the running board, the removable vented side cover to the bonnet and indeed the humped up front seat back, also although not standard they did often carry their spare wheel on the back. And if fitted with the early type of solid wheels they would have had a star pattern on the wheels which would resemble spokes. See pictures on www.trojanmuseumtrust.org.
It seems very starnge that he would base this character vehicle on something he had never had much experience of, also if you have ever been in a Trojan then rattle is certainly a word which springs to mind!!!
