Yes, but as Dot remarks (or thinks) in WH, Dick is quieter and usually less commanding, but he knows what to do and can take charge in a crisis. Eg Dick & the cragfast sheep in WH and Dick in the tunnel in PP. Likewise Timothy during the fire in PP, and when the GA goes missing in PM.
