I've noticed that Nancy seems in general to not mind "failure", whether it's she who's failed (eg the scene in Winter Holiday where the D's are told how the first roof of the igloo failed; Nancy's comment is "everybody's got to learn!" She's also very tactful and supportive of John after the shipwreck in Swallowdale. After the smelting disaster in Pigeon Post, Nancy refuses to blame Dick, instead saying "we should have swotted up on chemistry ourselves." And always, whenever someone else has a triumph, Nancy is quick to shout "well done!"
