Well, Homer nods, and even AR nods off once in a while. Don't forget also that Capt. Flint's book, Mixed Moss, is (according to a footnote in Swallowdale) published in 1930 and in its 8th ed. in 1931. Looks like the 1929 date for S&A really should be 1930--but I think there's a very good reason why you won't find firm dates in any of the later books.
