Made a SCAN of the books to find references to "TOBACCO". This does not catch all cases of smoking, as the word actually used may have been "Pipe" or "Cigarette" or just "Smoke". Searching for "SMOKE" created a huge list, very little of it had anything to do with tobacco usages, but with a campfire, charcoal building, blast furnace maintenance, or wildfire as in PP. Sometimes the "Tobacco" reference is not about smoking, but is referring to a "tobacco tin" used for storage. The references included here just show the ONE LINE containing the word. Taken out of context like this may be leaving the reader very puzzled to try to remember just what this is all about, as to who is doing the using of the tobacco. Tobacco was also used for things other than smoking but for chewing, as Bill in PD even offered it as a cure for seasickness - which is a bad joke of course. But for what it is worth, here 'tis...
