An essay titled "Building a Second Swallow" is now available
at http://www.efn.org/~jkohnen/nautical.html
It discusses the design of the "Swallow" and the "Amazon" and discusses
where one might find information to build similar boats. It does
not contain boat building instructions, but rather tells you
where to find them.
I may submit this to Mixed Moss if another publication now
considering it turns it down.
The same URL contains exhaustive lists of nautical fiction
and non-fiction, and a boat building information list, largely
devoted to US sources of information.
The size of the various files are shown on the contents. They
come over in a matter of seconds in the US, but may take longer
overseas. The boat building information list is 175 K bytes;
the essay on the Swallow is about 50K.
