I was recently in a Texas pub. The young lady behind the counter asked me if I wanted a beer. I said what size could I get? She pulled out a pint glass and a thing she called a chugger (about 20 oz, 2/3 litres is my guess). I looked at her and said "the chugger, we call those ponies in Australia." She asked was that the largest beer you could get in Australia?"
I could not resist and please forgive me - but I looked her straight in the eye and said no the pony was the small size we reserved for the tourists from the USA. She believe me. People are so gullible. Anne put her to rights.
