I found the films wanting. Too much was missed out - her books are filled with details and every reread reveals more much, for me, like Ransome.
Also, don't you feel the greatness of a writer can be judged in the audience he or she attracts? Rowling has drawn so many of different ages back into reading her value is now beyond measure. Her monetary value is only an issue for those who care about such things.
