Jock - first of all - I drink Black Sheep beer. It is blindingly obvious to me that 'Black', when used of a sheep, refers to its colour and nothing else. Did you think I didn't know that? I see even Adam Quinan is climbing aboard the 'black - ha ha!' bandwagon now.
I got into awful trouble last year when I said that I felt ashamed of some of the Tarboard postings. Now I'm no 'leftie', but I have to say that there has been a reactionary streak in some of the 'n' word posts which has shocked me. I think Jock's attempt to make a joke out of 'niggardly' is the worst, and he ought to be ashamed of it. The word has an entirely different root and he knows it.
