Joy - something odd seems to have happened - your post has disappeared from the Tarboard main page. I have caught up with it via 'Recent Messages'. I am not sure where this follow-up will end up, but here goes: I too have vast memories of Theobalds Road, which I must have walked down every day for over 30 years - Holborn Public Library, the 'Lamb' in Lamb's Conduit St (with those funny swivelling glass panels), and a wonderful health food caff next to the Conway Hall. Ah me.
This is all off-topic, so I will now announce that there is a branch of 'Nauticalia' in the town where I now live. I noticed the other day that in pride of place in the window at present there is . . . a hardback copy of Winter Holiday. And next to it - a TARS 'Winter Holiday' mug! Out of loyalty, since they subsidised the last TARS and NBT mailings, I went in. No, I didn't buy anything.
