I read an article somewhere which said that the response of the US children was one of wanting to read the original book. I gather a lot of US people actually bought the book from Amazon in the UK. By the last book the number of words being changed was quite limited, like 2 or 3.

Of course as usual I may have had one tow many black beers with Jock and this could be a figment of my fervid mind, but I think it is correct.
