Bunloaf

Whilst on the subject of S&As eating habits I have been puzzling on Bunloaf.
They seem to eat vast amounts of it. However I cannot remember having such a thing.
Possibly living in the South of England it was called something different.
I have always equated buns with currents and raisins but maybe it was a loaf shaped like a bun.
No doubt this question has come up before.
I have to say they ate well, freshly caught trout sound very good.
