It is the old question of whether the date in SA - August 1929 - or the one in SD - August 11th 1931 is definitive!
Nancy could hardly have confused 1929 with 1930, while perhaps our chronicler for SD misread a badly formed 1930 for 1931 and so created the error.
I stick to SA as having the prior claim. Then SD ahould have been 1930 and WH was January/February 1931 - which is 75 years ago today.
Anyway 75 years sounds better!
