Thames wherry

Another web-based forum in which I participate deals with woodwork and its various manifestations, including wooden boatbuilding.

A recent post on that forum (see link below) indicates that the "poster" is seriously considering building a Thames wherry in the traditional manner (ie no plywood or epoxy in sight).

The proponent of this plan is seeking information, particularly from people who may have tried to do this before so that he can avoid pitfalls and, indeed, determine whether the project is at all feasible for him.

I thought that Tarboarders may well have some relevant contacts and information and that, in the circumstances, it might be worthwhile you letting this guy know.

Should we suggest "Welcome" as a suitable name (although that was a Thames barge wasn't it)?
