John

Try the attached link - the section titled Miscellaneous gives about 12 or more additional verses.

My young children had different tastes in "lullabies" - Robert would always fall asleep to "Green grow the rushes Oh" (or the University of Sydney version "Red fly the banners Oh") while Anna found that the Nicene Creed in the Merbecke setting did the trick (or I found it did the trick with Anna).

The main thing in my expeience is that it is best if you can't sing - my horrible singing voice put our children to sleep while my wife's lovely and pure singing voice kept them awake (I think they wanted to hear more fom her, but with me sleep was their way of shortening the painful experience!!!)

Good luck with charming the youngster, John and just keep trying new songs, you never know which one will work.
