My plan did have a vegetable garden, Prue - which looked very similar to the one at my parents' house in North Finchley. A large asparagus patch (would asparagus grow well in the Lake District?) with scattered fruit trees rather than an orchard.
As Nancy was (I think without checking) talking about gardening in SW aboard the missionaries yacht, she must have known something about it.
I never extended my plan as far as the promontory - I did not have enough space on the paper.
Perhaps we ought to post plans on the other Tarboard (Yahoo?) site. But I will need to locate mine somewhere amongst my treasures (rubbish as seen by my wife!).
