Fiona - I have just realised who you are! Thanks for your comments, and I agree. I heard your 'Picts' talk at Edinburgh 2004 and liked your no-nonsense approach. I hope you will contribute more to Tarboard - I am very much in favour of occasional serious discussions. Yes, counting the planks in the door of the Dogs Home is fun, but we shouldn't shy away from what AR stood for, and his relevance today.
Just a word about 'the debate shouldn't be stopped'. We mustn't be paranoid about this. No one has power to 'stop' anything on Tarboard, except Ian. If someone says that they disapprove of a particular approach to AR, they are not saying they want it 'stopped', they are just expressing a view. Others may, and do, ignore it. THat is how Tarboard works. Please, no more about 'stopping'.
