The 387th humming of the theme song of Titanic strikes a chord, if not a raw nerve! I'm not sure, but is not the use of "shut-up" in the books character related.
"A" level question in English literature. To what extent does the use of "shut-up" in the AR books
a) reinforce characterisation,
b) reflect general hierarchical structures among the children,
c) highlight who is in charge in particular situations?
