I'm afraid I can not remember the films well enought to answer your question. The Bure is certainly wider than you describe but the Ant is narrow in places and many of the dykes and backwaters are narrower still. I can't help wondering if it wouldn't be easier to film something like that in an out-of-the-way backwater rather than the main river.
