I liked the fact that Nancy and the GA seem to come to a mutual understanding of each other - AR's observations via Squashy Hat are quite acute, I think. And I always wondered what the GA was like as a child/teenager - I have a sneaky feeling she was very like Nancy in many ways before she was squashed by all those late Victorian/Edwardian proprieties!
