Three books written (1937 on)- by 2 teenage (initially) girls Katherine Huill and Pamela Whitlock based on (mostly) horsey adventures in Cornwall. The Far-Distant Oxus (Jackie K.'s favorite book), Escape to Persia, and Oxus in Summer. Pub by Cape.
Endorsed and encourage by AR (see various bios. and memoir). The first has been republished. The last 2 are only found in Libraries; occasionally those who seek them -including TARS - (eg by some msg which can be found by Google) get a loan of them .. pretty nice, huh?
(A small donation to a TARS fund would be nice..)
No one has bothered with a web site, so far. (Nor any detailed analysis & geographic notes like TARboard).
As I have alleged in TARS, in some respects more satisfying and -erm - realistic then AR. (More like Judy Blume, eg)
