Owen - I can't see that there's any 'right' or wrong' about it - it's just the way it is on Tarboard. I too regret that discussions on the more philosophical aspects of Ransome's work, as well as the production and appearance of the books, do not generate much interest. Now if Matti had queried some small detail of a boat . . . . . . .

I tend to sum up the preoccupations of Tarboarders as 'boats and beer'. Perhaps the recent welcome influx of female Tarboarders can improve the situation . . . .
