Owen - you are certainly not the only TARS member interested in Ransome 'hardware', not by a long way, but the others do not participate in Tarboard. 'TARS' and 'Tarboard' are quite distinct animals. Some people in TARS are very knowledgeable about the various editions - for instance, Robert Thompson specialises in the overseas editions, and he does appear occasionally on this board. Tarboard seems to have had other concerns lately, but for those of us who are directly interested in the nuts and bolts of AR the answer surely is to keep on posting on these topics and hope that the interest spreads. Admittedly, there is not much that can be done about people who 'divert' thread topics into a sudden different direction - there is one in particular who does this. It is irritating, but again, the answer is to get the thread back on topic asap.

As to the 12-hour AGM at Hay-on-Wye, I was there, and it felt like 12 hours (only joking). Actually, it may well have seemed to the Chairman that he finished at 11.45 pm, as he chaired about 5 separate meetings during the day . . . But what would life be without tyops?
