1st...Sorry about piggy-backing on this 'Happy Birthday' message, - but I couldn't see how to start a new thread!!

For those of you who can access BBC TV, there is a series which has just started on BBC2 called 'The lost world of Friese-Green', running at 9.00pm on tuesdays. It shows film of Britain in the 20's (1924.) Filmed in Pioneering Colour!!! (Where's the italics button when you need one!)
The first episode showed scenes from the SW. and the next, going out on 25/04/06, should be showing scenes of the 1920's lake district in glorious, though primative colour. Might be worth a watch methinks.
Dan cruickshank the presenter shows the old footage and then tracks down locals to interview and see if they can put names to faces + places depicted. Being fron the SW I was very interested in the first episode, but I shall be having 10p's worth of episode 2 too.

Thank you for that interlude... Happy Birthday Ed - back to the celebrations...
