Andrew -

The book you mentioned, written by MUIR, is listed on AMAZON.COM (did not look at the UK version) and it was listed as "out of print" and "limited availability" but was listed at US$95.

There was also listed there a book by a member of the Rover music recording group, Will Millar, titled "Messing about in Boats: COnfessions of an Unsinkable Irishmen" recounting a series of mishaps with boats, including one episode in which it accidentally was "blown-up" but thankfully with no injuries resulting. The comments indicate it to be a rather humour filled writing, as one said, (if I can remember the words) "this is one book that is probably better heard as an audio book than actually read." Sounds like he really meant "Messing UP in boats" - but that is only my personal take based on the reviews. This is offered for US$3.58, 128 pages, paperback.

Not trying to be a "plug" for Amazon.

I still like "Ratty" and his description of how to really appreciate small boats, just messing about, not really trying to accomplish anything, except to just enjoy the total experience. That is what it all comes down to, as it somehow is meant to be.
