The Uist hedgehog cull is absolutely necessary.

The hedgehog is not a native of the Western Isles, and consequently the seabird and wader population that nests there has not been exposed to hedgehogs, which find it very easy to raid their nests.

The consequences of the thoughtless introduction of hedgehogs into the Western Isles, by humans negligent of the consequences of their actions, are truly devastating for the very important seabird colonies, which are being wiped out.

Spare your criticism for the stupid and selfish humans who introduced the hedgehogs in the first place.
