I am attempting to cover any connections between Ransome and J.R.R. Tolkien in addition to the letters we know of from Signalling From Mars. Although Tolkien was known to disavow any association of "Hobbit" with "rabbit," he himself alluded to that connection in his writing.

Is it possible that anything in this book could have provided any suggestion towards Tolkien's work?
