Bulldozerman, welcome back to Tarboard! Are you back for good or is this only a fleeting visit? During your long absence I have kept a lonely vigil on Tarboard, dropping in the odd Crossley reference from time to time apparently with little or no effect. However, some time ago I did score one notable success in persuading a few Tarboarders that Rattletrap might be a Crossley car or a least a lightly disguised AR caricature of one.
As regards the Beckfoot launch I (and I suspect quite a few others) would have no problem with it being a steam launch converted, (probably to petrol or kerosene) at the time that AR was familiar with the original.
