Iain, If you can write ordinary messages to Tarboard then you should be able to write hyperlinks.
Pictures are different. You cannot post pictures to Tarboard. Full stop. But it's possible to host the pictures elsewhere (see how pictures were handled in the Dogs' Home thread) and then to link to them.
If you are still convinced that you can't do this on your system. Let's discuss this off line.
