Thank you Owen. Most of the well known "top notch" girls public schools seem to be southern England.

The only exception that comes to mind is the now famous/infamous Girls Public Boarding School from Edinburgh known to everybody as St Trinians. Yes, it did exist and really was THAT one. Ronald Searle's daughter attended it. It went defunct just before WW2.

The Crossley's seem to have been around the Manchester area so it can be assumed that any school the girls were sent to is north of England or perhaps Scotland, not to rule out Southern England if the school status was the deciding factor in placement.

The school you mentioned has been contacted and I have taken notice of your spelling correction of the name.
