Polite, yes, but 'agree'? Peter, you're kidding. Mrs Walker was brought up in Australia - no Australian ever 'agrees all along the line'!

Nor do they, in this day and age... But remember, this was the 1930s and she was an officer's wife.

I'm talking about tea on the lawn, not the depths of the soul.
