Perhaps one should only drink Young's Waggledance.
A waggledance is when a Tarboard thread veers off topic only to come back again.
As in "I was hoping to get to the bottom of Beckfoot's plumbing, but ***** * lead us all on a merry waggledance.
CALLING PETER R! CALLING PETER R! CALLING PETER R!
I've just had a brainwave for the first TNRP's event. Young's brewery is only a short pub crawl away from where AR used to live in Putney.
How about a tour of the brewery followed by a Waggledance followed by a walk to AR former home, followed by a pint or two? All those in favour say "Waggledance!"
As well as the AR connection with the Young family, there is another good reason to visit the brewery - it is due to close in October bringing to an end nearly 500 years of beer brewing on the site.
