This has, of course, b*ggar-all to do with Ransome - apologies

Ransome built a small stationary steam engine whilst at Rugby. Did he actually enjoy making it? Does any body know? Railways are very much part of the landscape of his books. So perhaps we can indulge ourselves a little, especially in a nice place like Dartmouth which almost has an AR connection.

I have started the operation but, as a techni-thicko, I am making heavy weather. I will persevere . .

Keep at it, Peter! There are two approaches to computers: the techno-geeks who know that it won't work the first time. They do all their experiments in private and then when after many trials and tribulations it works, they launch their shiny new gizmo and pretend that it was all effortless. Then there are the rest of us who fear that it won't work first time and get frightfully upset when their fears are realised.

I'm trying to add a column of links in the margin of "If not Duffers... " and all my efforts so far to implement this feature have failed!
