I suggest looking in the Newpapers of the time and seeing the name used when it wsa climbed. This was probably the greatest influence. Is The Times onlline for 1929 or thereabouts?
One would be a fool to say there is not gold in the Lakes District, but it may be so costly to find it is not worth it. I notice that the last Welsh gold mine charges a significant premium for their gold, like 3 fold.

Trust me! Don't I always get these mystery railtours back home? This thread is looping back at high speed (OK, 15mph actually.) straight back into the AR mainstream. See tomorrow's exciting installment.
The only bit of narrow gauge track in AR was that leading into Slater Bob's mine,
I guess there must have been track for the launching cradles at Jonatt's yard, but I don't remember if it gets a mention.
