No, John - in fact you left some unimportant stuff in. 'He was conceived, born, lived' is not necessary unless someone is alleging that the books were written by a disembodied spirit. For the same reason 'and he died' is superfluous - we all do.
So I suggest your bio should read 'AR wrote 12 great books and a bit of other stuff, and he moved and sailed a bit.'
My only problem with that is that AR's Russian journalism is contained in 'a bit of other stuff' and I think it was much more important than that - as a formative influence for a start.
