Hi Matey,
In Ch. 17 of Swallows and Amazons, there is this reference:
"In naval warfare,"said John, remembering a well-known book, "two things are important; to know exactly what you want to do and to do it in the manner that your enemy least expects."
Does anyone have any idea what this "well-known book" is? Someone around here wonders it might be some book by Lord Nelson or something like that.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sayoko
