Since The Arthur Ransome Society and all its superb activities and related Internet paraphenalia - the Tarboard, various sites, etc - are currently bringing to the fore the great worldwide interest in Ransome matters, I wonder if any British (or other) filmmakers are considering the possibility of making any further films of his books?
The one I have always considered would have wide general appeal is "We Didn't Mean to Go to Sea".
Several years ago I watched the video of "Home Alone" (1), which was immensely popular although I can't say it appealed to me especially. WDMTGTS could likewise achieve worldwide popularity as a film, in my opinion, to adult and child alike, with all the drama, hopes and dangers required in a good film.
But what does anyone else think (or know)?
