A Present for Roger?

Whilst carrying out some research, I lighted upon the following in a booklist

P3/937 PATTERSON, A.H. Notes on Pet Monkeys and How to Manage Them,

1st edn. 1888. p. 112, 32 pages of advertisements, numerous engravings in the text (many after A.F. Lydon), original pictorial cloth, an exceptionally bright copy of this scarce early work by the notable East Anglian author and naturalist. £800

Perhaps a little expensive for the modern day Roger. Is this a book AR might have consulted about Gibber?
