Looks like we have a whole new industry in the making! Swallows and Amazons Sequels! These can be written and exchanged clandestinly over the internet until we have an entire history and foretelling of our charactors and their imaginary decendents! Since there is no right or wrong story, there can be many different stories. Of course, this leaves us open for discussion on which one is the ACTUAL course of events based upon etcetera, etcetera.

Prue's tale is good! And D. L. Bird's (the only "authorized" sequel) is good. His battle for Wild Cat Island which is highly influenced by World War ll battle maps and reports, and the rediscovery of the copper mine are continuations of the series to fill in between "real" books. Are there any others out there?

I think we all wonder what happened to such interesting and personable kids - how did they turn out, what did they do when they grew up and what did THEIR kids do? As Ed says, "It is part of All Things Ransome"!

Eric Abraham - In the heat of it all!
