I would have expected a man of your calibre to have hired steam engines

We travelled a fair bit behind standard gauge steam, catching some of the specials that had been organised as part of the annual steam festival at Chabowka. Much of the lineside vegetaion including woods and meadows had been burnt by fires caused by bottles or cigarette butts thrown out of carriage windows. Just as in PP.

Sadly none of the narrow gauge railways that we visited had working steam locomotives. If anyone wants to help get them steaming again then please e-mail me. It's possible to adopt a Px48 or even acquire a timeshare!

Nice picture Jock, I wish I had been there.

All Tarboarders, and ex Tarboarders are welcome to come next year!
