This is my first posting here. I have to say, this little contest
ought to be lots of naughty fun! My husband introduced me to the AR
series by reading them aloud to the kids. He had read a few of them
as a child, and was delighted to rediscover them in the local library,
and we have since bought all the ones available in US. One of the things
my dear husband does while he's reading is to gauge the attention of his
listeners (whether they've fallen asleep yet) by inserting terrible
things. I think little Bridget had been completely devoured by the
savages before Jake intervened!
Since both my husband and I work in the news business, we have the
requisite irreverence and cynicism necessary to compose a suitable entry
to this competition!
